Position Summary
We are looking for someone who lives and breathes paid search. Someone disses Google? Not on your watch. 
We want someone who knows how to push the platform beyond its current limits, has worked with scripts and offline tracking software and wants to see is aware of scripts and offline tracking.
This role plays an integral part of the business in driving high quality website traffic, leads and online sales. You will be the primary owner of the Paid Search strategy.

Key Accountabilities
Area Tasks
Campaign Management
  • Setup manage and optimise campaigns across Microsoft Bing and Google.
  • Analyse Analytics to identify new areas of opportunity and utilise conversion rate tactics (AB testing through the platform or partnering with our UX Designer) to grow paid search into the most profitable medium we work with.
  • Effective Ad Copy writing skills focused on direct response.
  • Investigate scripts and technology we can use to find competitive advantages, better tracking and attribution or to speed up/automate repetitive tasks.
  • Work with media reps and management to test new Alpha and Beta tests
  • Ensure new medias are tracking correctly e.g. Salesforce integration, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics
Reporting
  • Daily reporting on cost metrics (automation in progress).
  • Monthly reports on spend.
  • Monthly reports on successes, learnings and opportunities.
Company Strategic Projects
  • Engage in relevant company wide strategic projects.
  • Marketing Automation and Adtech relevant to your role or the wider team e.g. could we use machine learning to build a bid tracking system or a crawler to constantly check competitors and adjust bids accordingly.
  • Work with Campaign Team to ensure a match between offsite and onsite tracking.
  • Work with UX Designer to build more personalised experiences.

Your Experience and Capability
  • Previous experience in hands on SEM/Paid Search, with GA and Paid Search certifications.
  • Analytical Thinker: This role has a large focus on finding problems and solving them, in addition to building and testing strategies and Betas.
  • Organised and Methodical: You will be setting up and streamlining a set of processes with ambiguity in decision making.
  • Self motivated: Best practices change. New technology is released every day. You need to be able to stay on the pulse of all things relating to your role and the wider business.
  • Ability to collaborate: We work together as a team. If you need headlines and can’t think of any, we can help.
  • Hungry to create change and push performance above and beyond current performance.
  • Bonus points if you have worked for an insurer, comparator or agency.
